Azal branco is een witte druivensoort die veel geteeld wordt in de Vinho Verde. Er bestaat ook een tinto versie voor rode Vinho Verde. Kenmerken Azal branco is een productieve cultivar met groene druiven bij de oogst. Hij rijpt laat en geeft wijnen met relatief veel zuur en een delicaat aroma. Gebruik De druif wordt vooral gebruikt in het noorden van Portugal in de Vinho Verde, vooral in de subregio's Amarante en Basto..

Portugese druif die vooral voorkomt in het zuidoosten van Vinho Verde. Kenmerken De opbrengsten van de avesso druif zijn hoog en de druiven zijn groot. De wijnen hebben een hoog alcoholgehalte en de zuurgraad is lager dan bij de meeste Vinho Verdes. Bijgevolg voelen de wijnen vol en zwaar aan. Gebruik Komt in Portugal vooral voor in de Vinho Verde en in de Douro.
