Portugese druivensoort, als sinds de 18e eeuw gebruikt voor de productie van port. De Touriga Nacional wordt als de beste van alle port druiven beschouwd. Het is een vroeg rijpende druif die wijnen voortbrengt met diepe kleur, intens fruitig aroma en tannine. Deze soort groeit snel en past zich gemakkelijk aan klimaatomstandigheden aan, zoals vb. beperkte regenval.
